Why is it difficult to accept evolution & natural selection when crossing breeding already exists? Aside from DNA evidence, is it difficult to accept that humans diverged from chimps long ago?

In other cases when evolution, change adaptation occurred in animal life the lower level creature was replaced by the new form--as in cave men stages---so I question why apes remain today if we evolved from them , would they not have ceased to exist since we were replacing them?

We replace cave man yes I agree. But I don't think we came from apes.

So when you questioned as to whether it was so hard to accept that humans diverged from chimps: were you in reference to the beginning of humans and the beginnings of chimps? A splitting of the ways and going different directions implies to me, that the origin was the same, but I am not an expert by any means. I will admit an incurable curiosity on the subject, though.

I would like to know why it's been said that people originated from apes. Because we have some of the same features? I'm not sure if thatis really true or not, but if that was the case then why aren't there more people coming from them? Just a silly wuestion I know.
